(full name Daphne Avalon Thompson) was born and raised in Los Angeles. She was born into a family of entertainment professionals and athletes. Daphne was a total tomboy and extremely passionate about horses. She graduated from La Canada High School in 2008 and went on to earn a B.A. in Sociology at the University of Southern California in 2012. Daphne’s stunt career began the summer before her sophomore year at USC in 2010 when Alex Daniels, second unit director and stunt coordinator, put her through a crash course in stunts. She was hooked. Before graduating USC in 2012 she had joined SAG and was ready to get to work.

In only two years, Daphne has landed a few major roles in the entertainment world. In 2012 she starred as “Horse Lady” in the Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 “Surprise” trailer which was directed by Guy Ritchie and currently has 39 million hits on YouTube. In 2013 she helped Jimmy Kimmel fool the world in the “Worst twerk fail ever: girl catches fire!” hoax. Within only a week the video reached 10 million hits on YouTube and it was also played on multiple talk shows and even the news as a real video. The video won the Webby Award for best viral video of 2013.

Daphne currently resides in Los Angeles, where she is pursuing her career as a stuntwoman and actress. She is studying acting under Harry Mastrogeorge. She also takes Tae Kwon Do with Master Simon Rhee. Her stunt group, the Blue 8, practices Kung Fu, Parkour, wire work, military and tactical training, dance, and yoga. She is the host for Blue 8’s training tutorials. Daphne is also working as a horse trainer where she is an instrumental part a non-profit horse rescue operation called Neigh Savers which helps to rehab, retrain, and rehome ex-racehorses. When Daphne is not trying to conquer the world, she occasionally gets a few hours of sleep.
